Sometimes I can be pretty neutral and it can be somewhat annoying to my husband. "Where would you like to go for dinner dear? Oh I don't mind. You decide." Or "What movie should we see? Really it's up to you. I'm neutral." However today's steal, the Studio Calico Classic Calico, Vol. 2 makes me thrilled about embracing neutrality. I adore a paper collection of neutral colors and basic prints to make the perfect companion to embellishments that pop with color or even a subtle project with the right amount of warmth.
The first card that I created I wanted to add a little spritz of color with my Mr. Huey's. I love how neutral the papers are so that I could add the pops of color and easily have the focus on the sentiment and embellishment without overpowering them.
For the next card, I used the same method and made a card for my hunny.
After that I decided to create a more neutral card and added nothing of bold color. I love how subtle the "hi" is.
I then created two more cards where I used the sketch as a springboard, and these are what my ideas morped into. I love how I was able to incorporate embellies from several different manufacturers because the papers are so perfectly neutral! L-O-V-E!
