how_to_make_chalk_ink_clouds.png Today's How To 'sday by Becci Manies how to make chalk ink clouds has to be one of the most ingenious ideas I have ever seen when it comes to ink! I adore my Fluid Chalks and I think I'll love them even more now after putting to use Becci's tutorial on how to create clouds with chalk ink. Shop all of our ink and craft supplies at a Steal here.

Step 1. Start with your basic supplies: chalk ink, white cardstock, and a cloud template. I made mine by cutting a cloud shape into the top of a square scrap of cardstock. As you can see, it's been well used.Chalk-Ink-Cloud-Step-1-.jpg

Step 2. Start by positioning your template near the top of your (folded) card.

Step 3. Hold the template firmly down and start to brush your inkpad along the edges.

Step 4. Continue to ink along the edge until you have the first layer of clouds all the way across.

My template is a bit small, so I move it and stagger it so that the cloud shape is slightly varied between lines of clouds.

Step 5. Ta da! You have your first line of clouds.

Step 6. You can continue this for many lines, as far down the card as you would like. I started to use a lighter shade of aqua on the third row.

Step 7. I added embellishments to the card to give it a finished look! It's now ready to give to a special birthday girl!
