Today we are excited to have a really cool How To-sday from our friend Charity Hotrum. We all love our twine for projects. It has become a staple in our stash. However, sometimes we just don't have the right color handy. Charity shows us how she tie dyes her twine to match her projects.

White twine has many uses, it stands out great against bright paper and blends beautifully with pastels. But who said white twine had to stay that way? I recently received a spool, 100 yards, of white twine from scrapbookSTEALS and instantly my imagination was alive with ways to alter it. Here's a super easy way to make tie-die twine for that next ultra hip project you have in mind!
Step 1: Spray three complimentary colors of mist onto a dinner plate.
Step 2: Lay twine across the plate in a serpentine pattern.
Step 3: Spray the same three colors on top of the twine. Leave twine to soak up the mist for a few hours.
Step 4: Hang the twine to dry. In a drain rack over the sink will let it air-out without dripping on to a stainable surface.
Step 5: Make a fully awesome project and share it on the scrapbookSTEALS Facebook page!
