Today we have the fantastic Wendi Robinson showing off her skills using the Crate Paper Close Knit Collection. I love the variety of projects Wendi was able make, I am kind of in awe over the variety.

Hello there, it’s Wendi here and I’m sharing a few items that I made using Crate’s Close Knit collection. Its soft colors, and vintage inspired theme were wonderful to work with and I just LOVE all the fun embellishment accent pieces.
First up, I altered a soup can that we used for lunch. I took off all the packaging and cleaned it out. I added some paper to the outside, as well as lined the inside with paper, to give it a more finished look.
I used some of the diecuts, chipboard pieces, and wood veneer shapes.
I made several pinwheels out of paper, and then used the epoxy brads for the pinwheel centers and then staggered the sizes of height.
I created this family layout, using our Christmas family photo.
The soft colors reminded me of a quilt, so I played around with some triangle shapes and added some stitching.
I also made a layout of my little one, who fell asleep in the car with her little bear. I used one of the layered borders with the word “hugs” on it for my title and added several wood veneer pieces.
Lastly, I made a couple of cards. I used different chipboard pieces to add as accents to them.
I have just enjoyed working with this collection. I really feel like it can work for any occasion, even through it is mainly family themed.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
